PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing tool capable of using a soft polishing sheet same as a hard polisher, and a polishing method using it. SOLUTION: The polishing tool has a grooved polishing sheet sticking area 3 formed by projections 4 and 4 from the front face to the back face of a holder 1 including its end 12, with the polishing sheet 2 stuck to the sticking area 3. In use, the end of the holder 1 with the polishing sheet 2 stuck thereto is brought into contact with a material to be polished, and the material is polished at a certain angle ranging from vertical to horizontal angles.
