PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which a high-performance deodorizing filter having a function of removing malodor components is disposed, and which is excellent in the maintainability of the filter. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner, the deodorizing filter 11 constituted of at least inorganic fibers, a dielectric material, an inorganic oxide supporting a noble metal, and an adsorbent is disposed upstream of an indoor equipment heat exchanger. The deodorizing filter comprises the inorganic fibers of 40 to 60 wt.%, the dielectric material of 10 to 20 wt.%, the noble-metal-supporting inorganic oxide of 1 to 5 wt.%, the adsorbent of 20 to 40 wt.%, and an inorganic coupler of 1 to 5 wt.%, with the adsorbent being a zeolite with a specific surface ratio of 100 to 500 m2/g and the dielectric material having a dielectric constant of 500 or more and an average particle diameter of 1 μm or smaller. The deodorizing filter is disconnected from within indoor equipment and heated to a temp. of 200 to 300 deg.C by application of microwaves to reproduce and purify odors adsorbed by the deodorizing filter. |
