PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for coating a slurry for a catalyst, which is capable of controlling the width of coated slurry for the catalyst from one end side to the other end side of a catalyst carrier base material. SOLUTION: The device for coating the slurry for the catalyst is used for coating the catalyst carrier base material having tubular path in the axial direction with the slurry for the catalyst, and the device is constituted of a holding part 41 for holding the catalyst carrier base material 6, a slurry holding section 3 equipped with a cylinder chamber 31 for holding the slurry for the catalyst and a piston 32 capable of changing the volume of the cylinder chamber 31, and a loop circuit 2 through which the slurry for the catalyst supplied to the cylinder chamber 31 is circulated. The slurry for the catalyst is supplied to the cylinder chamber 31 from the loop circuit 2 and the slurry for the catalyst is supplied to the end surface of the lower end of the catalyst carrier base material 6 by reducing the volume of the cylinder chamber 31 by a prescribed amount with the piston 32 in such a state that the slurry for the catalyst is held in the cylinder chamber 31.
