PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of retaining water at a temperature suited for washing in a washing tub, by means of a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: A dryung/wasting machine 1 includes a feedwater pipe 3 for feeding water to a rotating drum 2; a feedwater heat exchanger 6 provided in a portion of the feedwater pipe 3 and using hot water of a predetermined temperature as a heat source which is supplied thereto from a heat source machine 4 via a hot water circulation line 5; a feedwater temperature thermistor 14 for detecting the temperature of the water flowing in the feedwater pipe 3 downstream of the feedwater heat exchanger 6; a hot water flow control valve 16 for regulating the flow of hot water supplied from the hot water circulation line 5 to the feedwater heat exchanger 6; and a controller 30 for controlling the actuation of the entire system. A feedwater temperature control means 34 provided in the controller 30 controls, using the hot water flow control valve 16, the flow of the hot water supplied from the hot water circulation line 5 to the feedwater heat exchanger 6, so that the temperature detected by the feedwater temperature thermistor 14 reaches a predetermined temperature suited for washing.
