PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized double bearing type reel for fishing excellent in winding operating efficiency and gripping holding properties. SOLUTION: This double bearing type reel for fishing is equipped with a spool shaft 10 freely rotatably supported on a reel body 30, a spool 12 supported by the spool shaft 10 and rotatable by rotating operation of a handle 2, a finger touch part 32 installed in the upper part of the reel body 30 and a rod mounting part 31 provided in the lower part of the reel body 30. The reel body 30 is formed so as to satisfy the relationship of H1>H2 when the height dimension on the handle side is H1 and the height dimension on the side opposite to the handle 2 is H2.
