PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining equipment which has a system for adjusting an angle of a seatback to set the angle of the seatback accurately, without being locked, when the seat back is pushed forward and is made smaller in size and lighter in weight. SOLUTION: A specific extent of the circumference of a sector gear 3 is set to be an outer diameter D2, which is smaller than the diameter D1 of the gear. The circumference 2b of a supporting part 2a for a fixed bracket 2 is set to be an outer diameter D3, which is smaller than the diameter D1 of the gear for the sector gear 3. A lever 6 is provided with a part 6a for engaging and a system 20 for controlling motions. The system 20 for controlling motions controls motions in a manner that a lock gear 4 does not contact the circumference of the sector gear 3 after the part 6a for engaging contacted the circumference 2b of the supporting part 2a of the fixed bracket 2 when the seatback 11 is pushed forward by unlocking.
