PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining minimum required amounts of additive metals to a reactor for decomposing organic matter with microorganisms. SOLUTION: This method comprises determining the amounts of additive metals to a reactor for subjecting organic matter in wastewater to decomposition treatment with microorganisms, on the basis of the consumption of additive metals due to the growth of microorganisms when the organic matter is decomposed.
