PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant cleaning device using a new method capable of confirming the flow speed of the spiral coolant generated inside of a circular coolant tank so as to efficiently collect the sludge in a bottom surface at a central part of the circular coolant tank in response to the condition of the sludge to be processed. SOLUTION: A flow speed confirming bar 34, of which lower part is dipped in the coolant formed into a spiral flow 27 over from a circular coolant tank 14 and which is inserted into a pin 35 of a bracket 34, is supported at a desirable position on the circular coolant tank 14 freely to be rocked around the pin 35 of the bracket 33 along the spiral flow 27.
