PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-base simplified fire extinguishing device which has an excellent fire extinguishing capability for frying oil fire, or the like, and is easy to use in a case of fire. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution of a temperature sensitive polymer, e.g. a copolymer of 95-75 mol%. of N-isopropylacrylamide and 5-25 mol% of acrylic acid sodium salt, is tightly packed in a container which melts or decomposes by heat or temperature of fire.
