PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a liquid ejection recording head in which an orifice plate is bonded surely to a base body while ensuring planarity of a face of the orifice plate, i.e., the ejection opening forming face of the liquid ejection recording head. SOLUTION: Nozzles 7 are formed between a heater board 1 and a top plate 5, and a chip tank 11 is set on a base plate 3 secured with the heater board 1. The chip tank 11 has a front plate part 11b covering the periphery of the front end face 1b of the heater board 1 and the front end face 5b of the top plate 5 wherein cuts 33, 34 are made stepwise in the edge parts 31, 32 of the front plate part 11b. When an orifice plate 6 is bent along the edge parts 31, 32 and bonded, an arc can be formed at the bend of the orifice plate 6 depending on the bending stress because the cuts 33, 34 are made and the face 6b of the orifice plate 6 is prevented from floating or projecting significantly.
