PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic device of a favorable usability, wherein the motion and the non-motion of an electric apparatus can be controlled in response to the pulling-out/taking-up of an insertion section. SOLUTION: A revolution number by which the flexible insertion section 2-1 is wound around a drum section is detected by a drum revolution number- detecting mechanism using a slide volume 4-20, and is transmitted to a system CPU 42. Under a state wherein the insertion section 2-1 is not pulled out from the drum section, an electric bending-driving unit 3-37 and a light source lamp 44 or the like are turned OFF. Then, under a state wherein the insertion section 2-1 is pulled out to a certain degree, the electric bending-driving unit 3-37 or the like is turned ON, and an electric bending or the like is accepted. Thus, this endoscopic device 1 of a favorable usability has been realized.
