Pharmaceutical compositions containing as the active ingredient nitropyrimidine derivatives of the general formula (I) or salts thereof wherein A is -C(R<5>)=N- or -CO-N(R<6>)-; R<1> and R<4> are each hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted alkynyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted aryl, or an optionally substituted heterocyclic group; and R<2> and R<3> are each hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted alkynyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted aryl, an optionally substituted heterocyclic group, or -B-R<7>, or alternatively R<2> and R<3> together with the nitrogen atom may form an N=CR<8>R<9> group. |
