PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone and a mobile communication system which reproduce prescribed music according to music data registered by a music play operation by a telephone caller. SOLUTION: The housing 10a of the portable telephone 10 is provided with keyboard keys 12e to 12p as an input means for music play data, and prescribed music play data are inputted, stored in the telephone number memory 16b of a storing part 16 and transmitted from a communicating part 14 to the outside. The music play data are also made to correspond to the telephone number data of a calling source, and music is reproduced according to corresponding music play data when an incoming call arrives to the telephone.
