PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material excellent in shelf stability and having high sensitivity and high density. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material has at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer on the base, does not substantially contain a hydrazine derivative, includes a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer having a silver to gelatin ratio of >1, contains a development accelerator in the emulsion layer and/or the hydrophilic colloidal layer and has an antistatic layer on the side opposite to the emulsion layer with respect to the base.
