PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where any type of paper powder can be surely eliminated. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a scorotron type charging device 30 is provided on downstream side in the direction of rotation of a photoreceptor drum 20 from a transfer roll 21 and it is faced to the photoreceptor drum 20 in non contact. Furthermore, a paper dust eliminating roll 80 that is a conductive elastic body roll is provided in contact with the photoreceptor drum 20 on downstream side in the rotating direction of the charger 30. The charged paper dust is surely eliminated by the paper dust eliminating roll 80 where voltage of negative polarity is applied after the paper dust on the photoreceptor drum 20 is uniformly charged to the positive polarity which is the same as the charged polarity by the charger 30. |
