PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonance sound generating device for an electronic musical instrument capable of obtaining a desired resonance effect without being provided with a large scale reproducing system. SOLUTION: Resonance sound of middle and high sound pitch ranges are stored in resonance sound waveform memory 10 cutting off the low sound pitch domain. A sound source circuit 8 sends a musical sound signal a read from original sound waveform memory 9 and a resonance sound signal b read from the resonance sound waveform memory 10 to a DSP 11. The DSP 11 has a spatial impression generating circuit 11b for processing the resonance sound signal b into a voice signal with spatial impression b', and processes the resonance sound signal b into the voice signal with spatial impression b' to output it. The voice signal with spatial impression b' is reproduced by resonance sound loudspeakers 18, 19. The spatial impression generating circuit 11b can be configured of, for example, a circuit for delaying the input resonance signal b, a circuit for adding the delayed signal to the input resonance signal b, and a circuit for subtracting the delayed signal from the input resonance signal b. |
