PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of improving printing efficiency by effectively utilizing the plurality of printers considering that a plurality of printers are connected by a network. SOLUTION: In this printing system in which a personal computer preparing a document and the printers are connected through the network, the personal computer has a number of printing pages detecting part 12 for detecting the number of pages of a document to be printed by a printer, a printer designating part 14 for designating a plurality of output destination printers in the case of printing the document with a plurality of pages, a divided print data transmitting part 15 for transmitting document print data with pages allocated to each designated printer to each printer and a controlling part 11 for controlling the respective parts, and the printers have a divided print data acquiring part for acquiring the received divided print data, a printer engine printing the divided print data and a controlling part for controlling the respective parts.
