PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly start up heating operation and hence improve comfortableness in a multizone air conditioner. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner, in which two indoor machines (upper indoor machine, lower indoor machine) are operated with one indoor machine, a suction hole 1 is formed in an upper surface of the lower indoor machine (foot child machine) disposed underside of the upper indoor machine, and a shielding plate 2 for shielding the hole 1 and driving means for the shielding plate are provided. A wind direction plate 6 of the upper indoor machine is directed downward and an air direction plate 12 of the lower indoor machine is directed horizontally. Further, the shielding plate 2 is opened, and warm air blown out just under from the upper indoor machine is sucked from the hole 1, which warm air is blown out after heat exchange in a heat exchanger 10. |
