FIRE RETARDANT COVER FOR ENCLOSED LEAD STORAGE BATTERY AND ENCLOSED LEAD STORAGE BATTERY EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire retardant cover, for an enclosed lead storage battery, used in preventing combustion of a cap on short-circuiting when the battery is used. SOLUTION: With the use of a mixture made of synthetic resin and fire retardant agent as a molding material, the fire retardant cover is molded into an internal shape the same the as external shape of the cap of the enclosed lead storage battery and is composed of the synthetic resin containing the fire retardant agent homogeneously. The fire retardant cover 1 is equipped on its surface with openings 7 and 8 through which positive and negative electrodes are inserted and projected, and an opening from which the top of a ventilation pipe 6 is exposed to the outside.
