AUTOLOCK METHOD FOR LASER BEAM OSCILLATION FREQUENCY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autolock method for a laser beam oscillation frequency in which an erroneous lock is prevented without counting the number of saturable absorption lines from a mode hop when an arbitray saturable absorption line is detected. SOLUTION: A modulation laser beam which is passed through an iodine cell and which is modulated by a modulation means is detected electrically so as to obtain a modulation signal, and the modulation signal is fed back. When the laser beam oscillation frequency is locked to the saturable absorption line of iodine, the generation sequence of the saturable absorption lines and the interval between the saturable absorption lines are used as a judgment reference when the saturable absorption line is specified.
