PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure of a column and a beam capable of preventing the deformation due to a compression force and a tensile force from an, H steel beam in a joining section of a steel pipe column, improving aseismatic performance, and reducing construction cost. SOLUTION: An intermediate beam joining body 10 composed of an individual body with which an H steel beam 2 is joined is provided in a beam joining section of the steel pipe column 1. This intermediate beam joining body 10 is integrally assembled by each constituent element consisting of a pair of upper and lower horizontal diaphragms 11 with which a beam flange end 4 of the H steel beam 2 is joined, a cross-shaped and vertical stiffener steel plate 12 in which a beam web 3 of the H steel beam 2 joined between each horizontal diaphragm 11 is arranged on an extension line in the direction of beam axis so as to correspond continuously, and a joining part panel 13 joined around outer periphery between each horizontal diaphragm 11. A beam web 3 end of the H steel beam 2 is joined with an end face 12a of the stiffener steel plate 12.
