PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device which displays photographic state information on photography completion, a photography ready state, etc., by a remote controller when the photography of a photographing device body is operated with the remote controller. SOLUTION: A remote controller 32 is provided with a release switch 31, a photographic state information request switch 32, an image information request switch 33, etc., and also provided with a liquid crystal display unit 34; when a photograph is taken by using this remote controller 30, the rest memory capacity, battery capacity, photographable image information, etc., of a digital still camera 10 are displayed by the liquid crystal display unit 34 and in this state the release switch 31 is turned on to take the picture by the digital still camera. After the photography is completed normally, a photography completion message is displayed by the liquid crystal display unit 34.
