BURNER FOR FIRING PULVERIZED COKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner for firing pulverized coke having a long service and an improved firing property. SOLUTION: A purge air outflow tube 1 for flame detection is provided at a center of a burner, a gas fuel injection tube 11 for ignition is provided with a built-in swirler 13 at the external periphery of the tube 1, a mixed fluid collision part of the tube 11 is made of a ceramic tube, an injection tube 21 for the mixed fluid of pulverized coke and a carrier gas is outwardly fit to the external periphery of the ceramic tube in a tube 28. Further a combustion air injection tube 31 with a built-in swirler 33 is provided on the external periphery of the tube 21. The pulverized coke can be fired in a good condition by setting the injection velocity of the mixed fluid into the furnace at 15-35 m/s. Thus the burner with an improved abrasion resistance can be used for a long period of time.
