PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method which can support designing in consideration of the state of an object to be actually carried and also to provide a recording medium which can attain the designing support method. SOLUTION: A designing support device 20 supports designing of a carrier path in accordance with the result obtained by simulating the motions of a subject that is carried along the carrier path consisting of plural carrier guides which are arrayed at each prescribed distance. The device 20 is provided with a closest distance calculation part 27 which calculates the distance between the tip of the object reaching the distance set between the carrier guides and the end part of the carrier guide where the tip of the object passes next, a numerical comparison/decision part 28 which decides whether the distance calculated by the means 27 is longer than its prescribed threshold and a display processing part 25 which shows the result of decision of the part 28.
