PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the failure in removal of a medium hub 41 from a spindle hub 5 and the resultant failure in its movement when ejecting a removable disk. SOLUTION: The spindle motor which is mounted with the removable disk having a disk-shaped rotary recording medium, the approximately doughnut- shaped medium hub fastened at the recording medium and a shell for housing these in its central part and rotates the recording medium has plural medium hub holding means which partly exist between the projection part of a cylindrical shape of the spindle motor and the inner diameter wall surface of the hole existing in the central part of the medium hub to restrain the horizontal movement of the inner diameter wall surface and hold the medium hub in the vertical direction while the removable disk is mounted at the spindle motor and which allow the easy removal of the medium hub in an upward direction by partly moving toward the central direction of the spindle hub when discharging the removable disk and suction means for sucking the medium hub in a downward direction.
