PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of ketole fatty acid using a labeling means for achieving efficient monitoring without scarifying the specific ketole fatty acid that should become a key substance for monitoring the state of a plant. SOLUTION: By providing the method for detecting ketole fatty acid for detecting the ketole fatty acid that is labeled by performing the ester combination of a labeled substance having a diazomethy group to a carboxyl group as a combination group and for determining the amount of ketole fatty acid, problems can be solved. Also, by using the detection method, the production accelerator of the ketone fatty acid in the plant is screened from the substance to be inspected in the screening method of the production accelerator of ketone fatty acid.
