The condenser has a collector tank (20) divided into chambers, through which a refrigerating fluid flows, and a reservoir (10), for the treatment and/or accumulation of the fluid. One tank chamber connects with the reservoir by a pipe (6), a pipe restrictor (43) causes a loss of fluid pressure in the reservoir. The chamber is the last one in the fluid flow. The reservoir has an output tube (12) through which fluid leaves the condenser (4) directly after its passage through the reservoir.. The pipe restrictor is formed by an calibrated orifice fitted in a ferrule (42) located in a slot (41) extending perpendicularly to the axes of the collector tank and the reservoir. The ferrule is located at the up stream end of the slot. The slot is formed under a lower wall (38) of the reservoir in a part (40) which has a tube (46) which allows fluid communication between the downstream end of the slot and the interior of the reservoir. The part (46) is sealed below the lower wall, in a hole coaxial to the slot, in a part (34) fixed on the collector tank
