PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring-type oscillating angular velocity sensor, which comprises three flexures to support an exciting part and is constituted so as to perform drive excitation to make one period of standing waves present between the adjacent flexures and a total of three periods of standing waves present in the whole circumference of the exciting part and in which a control circuit is very simple and inexpensive. SOLUTION: In the ring-type oscillating angular velocity sensor for detecting output oscillation component with a phase different of 90 deg. from standing waves, which is generated by the Coriolis force due to input angular velocity, when the ring-type exciting part 80 is excited by the standing waves of oscillations in the radial direction. The excitation part 80 is mounted and fixed to a pedestal 82 via the three flexures 83 at three locations on the circumference of the ring of the excitation part 80 to make one period of standing waves present between the adjacent flexures 83 and a total of three periods for standing waves present in the whole circumference of the ring. |
