CONTROLLING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ITEM ARRANGEMENT ON MENU SCREEN OF COMPUTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make operation of specifying an item on a menu screen easier in a computer system for creating the specific item display event information for computer system by the operation specifying the item of the menu screen. SOLUTION: Each time specific item display information is created, it is stored in time phase. By using N pieces of statistically processing event information (N pieces of time-phased information stored in the past), statistically processed information indicating transition probability matrix of Markov process is created. By using (N-K) pieces of predicted event information ((N-K) pieces of time-phased event information) and statistically processed information, predicted specific item display information indicating the transition probability of Markov process is created, when next specific item display information is created. Item arrangement controlling information which indicates arrangement responding to content of predicted specific item display information of information indicating the item on the menu screen is created, and by this, arrangement of the item on the menu is changed.
