PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery power source capable of updating firmware of a battery pack having a battery managing function and a communicating function of the host equipment. SOLUTION: The firmware of the battery pack 2 is stored in a memory means for enabling rewriting of a flash memory 8 or the like. When necessity of dealing with a fault or improving a function occurs, updating firmware is acquired from a storage medium or the Internet, and transmitted from a firmware transfer means 12 of a personal computer (host equipment) 1 to the pack 2 via an SMBus 5. In the pack 2, the firmware stored in the memory 8 is updated by a firmware rewriting means 11. |
