PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motion ball guide capable of reducing the fluctuation of five attitude components indicating the accuracy of a linear motion ball guide system, taking into account the change of load distribution following the change of the relative positions of each ball and a moving block. SOLUTION: The length of a raceway surface and a ball diameter are selected, so that the ratio of an I range to an I-1 range of the effective number of rolling elements in the 2κDa stroke of a moving block 2, where the relative positions of each ball 4 and the moving block 2 change, is about 100%: about 0%, where I=int (2Ux/κDa+0.5), 2Ux: the length of the raceway surface of the moving block, andκDa: ball pitch. The change of the effective number of balls caused by the stroke is thereby reduce, to markedly improve the accuracy, particularly the pitching accuracy of the linear motion ball guide system.
