PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine capable of facilitating assembly in a compact size, wherein a compressor and an expander are integrated with each other. SOLUTION: A turning scroll 13 is formed in such a way that a compression chamber side turning scroll 13a and an expansion chamber side turning scroll 13b are integrated with each other back to back each other in a turning scroll substrate 13c for separating a compression chamber 2 and an expansion chamber 3 from each other, the compression chamber 2 and the expansion chamber 3 are separated from each other by the turning scroll substrate 13c, the turning scroll 13 is turningly driven by a built-in motor 1, and thereby, gas in the compression chamber 2 is compressed as well as expanding gas in the expansion chamber 3.
