PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly scatter incident external light by making a reflection film comprising a metal film, which is at the same time a pixel electrode, with plural polygonal pyramids formed on the surface in an active matrix reflective liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The reflective liquid crystal display device is constructed so as to have the metal film 1, forming the pixel electrode and having plural projecting parts 3, being n-pyramids (n=3, 4, etc.), scattered on the surface so as to make n side faces of the projecting part 3 form the reflection film 9 respectively. This kind of the reflection film 9 is manufactured by forming plural island shaped resist patterns radially divided by narrow grooves 22 into n side faces (n=3, 4, etc.), on the metal film 1 and dry etching them. |
