<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable downsizing of a fitting direction size in fitting and facilitate introduction and fitting for a surface mounted partner connector and a connector to be fitted to it. SOLUTION: In an electric connector 10 wherein a fitting space 14 to receive a mating connector 30 which is surface mounted on a circuit board P2 or the like at the housing connection part 42A which has been formed on a leg part 42 of a contactor protruding outside of the housing is formed by a peripheral wall part 13 of the housing 11, and wherein an introducing slope 18 for a fitting introduction of the partner connector 30 is installed at an opening edge to open in the front face of the peripheral wall part 13, and excepting the site XI corresponding to the leg part of the partner connector, a front face of the peripheral wall part has an introduction part 17 to extend to a range of the leg 42 of the partner connector 30 in the fitting direction Z at the time of completion of fitting, and the introduction slope 18 is formed at an inner edge of the introduction part 17.</p> |
