PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupler capable of surely obtaining an expected connecting strength for connecting a precast member. SOLUTION: Since rotation of a limiting nut 17 can be precisely restrained by inserting the limiting nut 17 installed on the tip of a male screw part 14a of a second rod 14 into a first recessed part 15e of a first fastening member 15, even if a second fastening member 16 is fastened further after allowing a nut abutting surface 16c of the second fastening member 16 to abut on the limiting nut 17 in a process of screwing the first fastening member 15 to the second fastening member 16, the limiting nut 17 only slightly rotates in clearance with the first recessed part 15e, and does not rotate more than that. That is, proper tensile force can be generated in the first and second rods 13 and 14 by surely preventing a position of the limiting nut 17 in the second rod 14 from being dislocated in the rod shaft direction by co-rotation of the limiting nut 17.
