PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacturing system and method and component mounting apparatus and method by which noise and vibration can be reduced and reliability of the facility can be increased. SOLUTION: Components can be mounted speedily and accurately by a high- speed movement and a high-accuracy positioning of a head unit 901 by a high rigidity and a great driving force owing to the component mounting head unit 901 provided with a guide part 914 which can guide a closed loop track 906 on upper and lower sides of a linear motor 91 and a linear scale 940 which is placed along the whole closed loop track.
