PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is provided with a large-sized display board with comparatively simple configuration and can support a light guide means securely, and a guide light. SOLUTION: The display device consists of the following parts. A device main body 5 which has a storing part 52 inside an opening 51; a light guide means 1 with a light emitting surface 12 and a light incident plane 11 which are provided in one surface of a tabular main body, a linear light source 2 disposed along a longitudinal direction of the light incident plane 11; the display board 3 provided in the light emitting surface 12 side; a support means 4 supporting the display board 3 and the light guide means 1, whose upper part is inserted in the opening 5; a mounting part 41 provided so as to project from the support means to the side at a position of the upper part side of the support means 4; an engaging means 53 provided in the storing part 52 engaged by the part 41 and a lid part 6 with an insertion port 62 of a shape not inserting the mounting part 41, to be fixed by covering the opening 51 of the device main body 5 so that the greater portion of the lower part side of the support means 4 may project from the insertion port 62 in a state where the mounting part 41 has been engaged by the engaging means 53.
