PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of preventing cold air from being leaked out of it and facilitating a position setting of a unit base. SOLUTION: There is provided a refrigerator 1 in which a cooling device R having a compressor 8, a condenser 9 and a thermal insulating cooling box 12 installed thereon is mounted at a top wall 2A while closing an opening 6 formed at the top wall 2A of a thermal insulating box 2, wherein the cooling box 12 has its lower surface being opened, a cooling unit 14 is stored in the cooling box 12 and at the same time the inner circumferential edge of the lower end of the cooling box 12 is provided with a flange 20 projected downwardly from the unit base 7.
