PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device or method for inputting character, with which an input desired character string can be easily inputted while widely utilizing the character strings of displayed selection candidates. SOLUTION: When a partial area is instructed as one part of certain character strings displayed as selection candidates, the character string in this instructed partial area is predicted again. Namely, by inputting 'information', 'information processing technology' is outputted as a selection candidate and when the part of 'processing' in this character string is different from the input-desired character string, the part of this 'processing' is instructed and predicted again. |
