PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recovery property of residual toner after transfer at a developing unit by preventing soiling, heaping and exposure shielding due to the residual toner after transfer, paper powder and a foreign matter such as the other fine powder and eliminating the occurrences of the resistance charge and defective charging of a charging member even through the charging means is a contact charging device and also to maintain the output of an excellent image quality over a long term by preventing the damage and the scraping unevenness of a photoreceptor in the image forming apparatus of a simultaneously developing and cleaning system. SOLUTION: A charging device (magnetic brush), a magnetic brush charger, the image forming apparatus of the simultaneously developing and cleaning system and a processing cartridge are constituted by using charging magnetic particles constituted of magnetic particles which possess particle size distribution in which two or more peaks or the peak having shoulder is formed in the range of the particle size of >=0.5 μm<=200 μm, whose average size is >=10 μm<=50 μm, whose flocculating degree is >=60% and whose specific surface area (BET) is >=0.100 m2/g. |
