A sheet of ferritic stainless steel containing aluminium has the following composition by weight: 10.5 - 20 % Cr, 1 - 8 % Al, 0.003 - 0.06 % C, 0.003 - 0.04 % N, 0 - 0.6 % Si, 0 - 0.6 % Mn, 0 - 0.002 % S and 0.001 - 1.0 % rare earth elements with the balance being Fe and residual elements inherent to production and in which the Cr and Al contents satisfy the relationship %Cr/%Al is less than 5. An Independent claim is included for the method of producing this stainless steel sheet. |
