PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an improved flexible light pipe which emits light from the side uniformly along a longitudinal direction of a pipe, and to obtain optimum lighting effect from light intensity supplied from one end or both ends of the flexible light pipe by using the emitted light effectively. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of the flexible light pipe for side lit use in which at least one kind of light scattering additive of 50 to 4,000 ppm is added to a smelting fluoro polymer of cladding material before supplying the polymer to an annular conduit is provided.
