PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system which displays a real three-dimensional picture of high quality without making the lead on picture processing excessive when displaying the game picture of a three-dimensional game. SOLUTION: When a wall surface 41 arranged in a game field constituted in a virtual three-dimensional space and a recessed part 42 formed on the wall surface are displayed, a fundamental texture where the stereoscopic structure of the recessed part 42 is plotted is used in the case of a view from a front viewpoint position (a). A texture obtained by deformation, partial extraction, and processing of the fundamental texture is used in the case of a view from an oblique viewpoint position (b). A texture obtained by increasing the degree of processing of the fundamental texture is used in the case of a view from a viewpoint position at a larger oblique angle (c). Thus the texture of one picture having a two-dimensional pattern is used to realize artificial three- dimensional display in accordance with the viewpoint position. |
