The composition used as co-extrusion binder, comprises: (a) 5-30 wt.% of polyethylene copolymer; (b) 40-93 wt.% of stretchable polypropylene; (stretchability defined as not breaking of a strip extruded at 190-240 deg C under traction with drawing speed 50-250 m/minute); and (c) 2-30 wt.% of polypropylene (C) functionalized with anhydride of unsaturated carboxylic acid, and has melt flow index 10-50 g/10 minutes (230 deg C and 2.16 kg). Independent claims are also included for: (1) structure comprising, in sequence, a layer of metal foil, a layer of binder and optional layer of polypropylene; (2) container lid of structure, with aluminum foil used as metal foil; (3) container (e.g. bottle) of polypropylene or polypropylene-coated material, closed with lid; and (4) packaging articles (e.g. containers) having structure comprising successive layers of metal foil, binder and polypropylene.
