PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic distributing method for distributing traffic by retrieving a route transferable from a terminal adjacent to a relay terminal with a high processing load and changing a communication route to a terminal with a low processing load, and a terminal device. SOLUTION: The relay terminal D with a high processing load performs broadcast transmission of a message requesting a route change. Terminals receiving the route change request message A, B, C, E, F and G perform broadcast transmission of a message for retrieving a communicable terminal. A terminal with a low processing load X or Y receiving the retrieval message sends a message notifying that it can transfer a data packet. A terminal receiving the notification message, for instance, the terminal A transmits a message for a route change to the terminal D.
