<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate insert recording in frame unit. SOLUTION: When (n) frames of an MPEG stream recorded on a hard disk(HD) are replaced, an HD drive 107 reproduces GOP including the (n) frames and then a decoder 116 performs data expansion processing to obtain reproduced image data. An encoder 115 replaces (n) frames of the reproduced image data with other video data for insertion to obtain rerecorded video data, and compresses the data to generate new GOP for rerecording. This new GOP is supplied via a drive controller 108 to the HD drive 107 and recorded on the hard disk replacing the mentioned reproduced GOP. Even when the (n) frames are closely related to the preceding or following frame, the replacement of the (n) frames can take place readily.</p> |
