摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate system where the number of carrier frequencies assigned to gate stations is not increased in a tollhouse where plural passage lanes are set. SOLUTION: The gate system consists of plural gate stations and a mobile station. The gate stations are arranged at the exit gate of a toll road, antennas different in polarization characteristic are connected to them, and each gate station is provided with a radio communication means which uses a signal having a common carrier frequency to transmit and receive this signal through the antenna. The mobile station is a moving body moving on the road and is provided with a radio communication means which can freely receive signals different by polarization characteristics sent from radio communication means provided in plural gate stations respectively and can transmit a signal, which has the same polarization characteristics as a radio wave sent from one of plural gate stations as the other party of communication and has the common carrier frequency, to the gate station as the other party of communication.</p>
