PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative type image forming material capable of direct recording from digital data of a computer or the like by recording with IR laser and capable of giving a planographic printing plate excellent in image forming property and printing resistance. SOLUTION: The image forming material is obtained by successively disposing a silicate coating, a middle layer containing a silicone compound having a functional group capable of causing an addition reaction under a radical and a photosensitive layer containing (A) an IR absorbent, (B) a radical generating agent, (C) a radical polymerizable compound and (D) a binder polymer on an aluminum base. The middle layer may be disposed by bonding the addition reactive functional group to the surface of the aluminum substrate using the organic silicone compound. |
