IMAGE EVALUATION METHOD AND QUALITY CONTROL METHOD FOR PLANOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple evaluation method for easily deciding the state of plate making conditions of a negative type image forming material for IR lasers for direct plate making and a quality control method for maintaining the specified quality of a planographic printing plate by feeding the result thereof back to exposing/heating/developing stages. SOLUTION: This method has (A) a stage for forming the standard developer processed planographic printing plate by forming the planographic printing plate for evaluation formed by subjecting the negative type image forming material for IR lasers to exposure under plural conditions by stepwise changing plate surface energy and developing the plate with a standard developer of standard formulation, (B) a stage for forming the objective developer processed planographic printing plate by developing the planographic printing plate for evaluation with the developer to be evaluated and (C) a stage for comparing the solid sensitivity and/or clear sensitivity under the prescribed exposure/ heating conditions of the standard developer processed planographic printing plate and the objective developer processed planographic printing plate.
