<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar equipment wherein prediction error becomes smaller than the value when prediction is started and superior tracking is possible. SOLUTION: A target detecting part detects the position of a target existing around a self car. A prediction filter smoothes detection error affected by noise or the like which is contained in detected results, predicts the position of the target and performs tracking. An initial value setting part calculates an initial value, the next prediction value and an initial velocity which are necessary for starting the prediction, on the basis of a plurality of detected results obtained for a prescribed time from the detection start, and sets the initial value in the prediction filter.</p> |
